GP Hubs (by appointment)

Patients registered with Alexandra Surgery may book an appointment with a GP or Nurse at one of 5 "Hubs".

This service is open in the evenings, on the weekends, and during bank holidays.
The times vary from hub to hub.

You may be seen by someone from your practice, or by another local GP or Nurse or Healthcare Professional.

These clinics are for booked appointments only. It is not an emergency walk-in service.

At night and on weekends: If you need to contact an Emergency GP,
When you ring the surgery, a telephone number (for the OUT OF HOURS GP SERVICE) will be given to you. You may ring this number to obtain advice or medical attention.

This is the same telephone number: 111
Please call this number if you need a doctor when the surgery is closed.

NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor. 

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
